Nicholasville-Charles Edward -Buddy- Ballman, 73, loving husband of Sally Rush Ballman, of Logana Road, died July 17, 2008 after a brief illness. He was a native of Breckenridge Co., son of the late Pete and Eva May Ballman. He was a retired lockmaster serving several locks on the KY River. Additional survivors include three children, Karyn (Doug) Turner, Charles E. -Charlie-(Karen) Ballman II, and Priscilla Ballman, four grandchildren, Kendall (Ryan) Turner Buford, Brittany Turner, Charles E. -Little Charlie- Ballman III, and Amanda -Mandie- Ballman, a great grandchild Alexia Buford, two sisters, Brenda and Mary. Services will be 11:00am Saturday at Betts & West Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8pm today.
