Brian Purnawan Walker

Brian Purnawan Walker, 55, of Fox Run Road, Wilmore, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington. Brian was born in Bandung, Indonesia, on July 4, 1970.  He was the adopted son of Alice Frances Chiariello Walker and the late Dale Franklin Walker. He was a graduate of Red Bird Christian High School in Beverly, Kentucky, a valued employee of Macy’s Department Stores, and a member of the Green Acres Country Club for many years. Brian enjoyed taking long walks with his beloved dogs, Georgie and Cocoa. He is survived by his mother, Alice, two brothers, Andrew (Darlene) Walker and Philip (Jacquelyn) Walker, two sisters, Rohani (Hans) Weger and Michelle Walker. Services will be held at the Brooks-Howell Retirement Home in Asheville, NC., on April 9, 2026, at 3:00 PM, with a reception to follow. It will be a dual service celebrating the memory of Brian and his father, Dale Franklin Walker. Services will be posted online for those unable to attend.
