Barbara Carol McClain

Barbara Carol Browning McClain, age 77, wife of Lawrence McClain, passed away at her home in Nicholasville, Kentucky, on Sunday, July 5, 2026. She was born in Covington, Kentucky, on July 22, 1948, to the late Howard C. Browning and the late Birteena Jones Browning. She is survived by two daughters, Teresa Ignomirello and her husband, Mark, and Tammy McClain; three sons, Terry “Bubby” Purcell and his wife, Priscella, Jeff Purcell and his wife, Mindy, and Rusty McClain and his wife, Melody, sixteen grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Additional survivors include a sister, Sandy Jackson, and her husband, Ray, and two brothers, Jerry Browning and his wife, Karen, and Ricky Browning and his wife, Joetta. She is preceded in death by a brother, Allen Wayne Browning, and a sister, Connie Sue Browning. The family has chosen cremation, and no services are scheduled currently.
