Ashlee Marie Smith

Ashlee Marie Smith, age 37, of Owensboro, Kentucky, passed away on October 24, 2026, in Owensboro. She was born on May 17, 1989, in Lexington, Kentucky, to Marcus Floyd Smith and Bessie Lee Collins.

Ashley worked as a waitress and was the loving mother of Paul Wayne Abner Jr., Ashton Abner, and Mazi Watson. She was also the sister of Chase Smith, Amber Cross, and Jessica Madore, and was preceded in death by her sister, Chasity Renée Smith.

Ashley will be remembered for the love she shared with her family and the special place she held in the hearts of those who knew her. Her life was filled with moments, memories, and connections that those she leaves behind will treasure forever. Though her time here was far too short, Ashley's memory will live on through her children, her family, and everyone whose life she touched. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever held close in the hearts of those who loved her.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at Betts & West Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, November 2, 2026, also at the funeral home.
