Anthony "Tony" Eugene Kula
It is with profound sadness that the family of Anthony "Tony" Eugene Kula announces his peaceful passing on January 30th, 2023, at the age of 85 years old.
He will be affectionately remembered by his children: Tonda and Rick; his grandchildren: Alissa, Brynn, Jordan, Jenny, Rick, Meagan, Joshua, Robert, and Sarah; and many adoring great-grandchildren.
Tony was predeceased by his loving wife of 60 years, Cherie, his parents, Lawrence and Hattie Kula, and his siblings: Mary Hebert, Julia Johnson, Irene Bushey, Regina Lubera, and Rose Bushey.
Tony was born on September 21, 1937, in Michigan and built most of his life there, raising a family and proudly serving in the US Army. Following his time in the military, he worked various jobs before finding his niche in the lab at Scheurer Hospital, where he worked for many years. Prior to retirement, he and Cherie relocated to Georgia. There, he was often found tinkering and creating in his workshop, as woodworking was one of his most beloved hobbies. Tony had a lifelong love of baseball. He played both little league and many recreational leagues well into his adult life. After retirement, Tony and Cherie relocated again to KY to spend their final years surrounded by family.
He is so loved and will be missed by many. A graveside memorial will be held at Camp Nelson National Cemetery on March 24, 2023, at 10 AM.
