Annie Carpenter Rhodus, 79, widow of George Rhodus, died Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at her home. She was born March, 10, 1933 in Jackson County to the late James and Demi Rogers Rhodus. Annie was a homemaker and member of Lighthouse Baptist Church. Survivors are her children, Lynn Rhodus, Anna (Ron) Whittemore, Christina (Kevin) Jenkins, Allen Rhodus, grandchildren, Jenny and Chris Seals, Destinee and Grace Jenkins, great grandchildren, Cassidy, Elijah and Margaret Grace Seals, a sister, Christine Thompson and other family members. She was also preceded in death by a son, John Wayne Rhodus. Services will be 11:00 am Saturday, May 19, 2012 at Betts & West Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Barnes and David Swallon officiating. Burial will be in Richmond Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 until 8:00 pm Friday, May 18, 2012 at the funeral home.
