Alma Jean Hedden Smith

Alma Jean Hedden Smith, 84, widow of Needham Askew Smith died Saturday, February 16, 2013. She was born June 13, 1928 in Graefenburg KY to the late Mahlon and Ruby Gibbs Hedden. Alma was a homemaker who liked to read, do crossword puzzles and watch her soap operas. Survivors are her four children, Beverly (David) Agee, Bo Smith, Lee Ann (David) Parker, Kimberly Smith, four grandchildren, Buddy Baker, Ashley and Melissa Agee, David Nelson Parker and other family members. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Judy Byrum. Services will be 3:00 pm Monday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Rev. Dewayne Brewer officiating. Burial will follow be in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens Visitation will be 2:00 pm until time of service Monday. Bearers will be David Parker, David Agee, Matt Bowman, Anthony Meyer, Erick Shepard and Buddy Baker. Contributions suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
