Ada Henrietta West Welch, 82, widow of Lloyd Elwood Welch, died Tuesday, April 7, 2009 after a long illness. She was born October 31, 1926 in Wilmore KY to the late William and Maggie Jane Wilder West. She was a member of the Wilmore Christian Church. Survivors include her children, Eugene -Butch- Welch, Jimmy Welch, Larry Welch, Brenda McClain, Tommy Welch, Henry -Punkin- Welch, Laura -Sissy- Presley and Elwood Welch, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren, a sister Jeanette McWhorter. She was also preceded in death by two sons, George and Kenneth Welch and two half sisters.. Services will be 1:30 pm Thursday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Chaplin Jim Harrison officiating. Burial will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be today from 5:00 until 9:00 pm at the funeral home. Bearers will be her grandsons. Honorary bearers will be her sons.
