Wilmore-Wilbert Lee Sherrow, 54, passed Saturday November 8, 2014 after a long battle with cancer. He was born on November 29, 1959 in Jessamine County to Rosie Lee McClure Sherrow and the late Robert Lee Sherrow. Wilbert was a strong mentor to everyone he knew, a dedicated truck driver and farmer. Survivors include three sisters Ruth (Randy) Lynch, Juanita Sherrow and Geraldine Sherrow, a brother William Dean Sherrow, a niece Samantha Sherrow, a nephew Hunter Sherrow, a special friend who he always viewed as a son Austin Alexander and a very close friend whom he always viewed as a second mother Ms. Mamie Prentice. Funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 PM Thursday November 13, 2014 at the Betts & West Funeral Home with Adam Alexander officiating. Burial will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery.
