Wayne Mckenzie

Wayne McKenzie, 85, widower of JoAnn Flynn McKenzie, passed Friday, February 9, 2024, at Nicholasville Health & Rehab. He was born in Nicholas County, Kentucky, on October 3, 1938, to the late Ray Burns McKenzie and Virginia Mae Morris McKenzie. Wayne is a retired Body Shop Owner, truck driver, and farmer. Survivors include four children, Melissa Ann (Lonnie) Noe, Kimberly (David) Rowland, Cathy Jo (Tommy) Sanders, and Billy Wayne (Michelle) McKenzie, 17 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Connie Marie Clinkenbeard. The funeral service will be at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at Betts & West Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Horton and Pastor Troy Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Bearers will be Jeff Aubrey, Mike Aubrey, Joshua Aubrey, Hunter Sanders, Matthew Smith, Cody McKenzie, Zack McKenzie, and Vince Boone. Honorary bearers will be Derrick Snyder, Zymere Thomas, Dylan Baker, and Mike Baker. The visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, February 12, 2024, at the funeral home.
