Virgie Mae Alford Horton, 91, widow of James T. Horton, died Tuesday, April 3, 2018. She was born in Jacksonville, Florida on August 25, 1926 to the late William “Bill” Alford and Dorothy Baker Alford. Virgie attended Wings of Refuge church and a member of High Bridge Holiness Church. Survivors includes three children, Dennis (April) Horton, Ronnie (Betty) Horton and Diane (Jacky) Waldrop, 7 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be noon, Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Betts & West Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Bales and Leonard Fitch officiating. Interment will be in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. Bearers will be Chris Waldrop, Dale Horton, Richard Horton, Ray Baker, Jason Horton, and Jason Scott. Honorary Bearers will be Barry Hartman and Bill Benedict.
