Theresa Ann Hughes Kemp

Theresa Ann Hughes Kemp, 75, widow of Dennis D. Kemp, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2024, at Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington. She was born in Shenandoah, Iowa, on June 26, 1948, to the late Francis Hughes and Catherine Maher Hughes. She is survived by her sons, Daniel Lee Kemp (Gina), and Dean Francis Kemp (Kesha); daughters, Tina Marie Kemp, Terri Ann Morgan (Dean), Tammy Lynn Vance (Tony), and Tiffany Marie Kemp (Chad); siblings, John Hughes (Beth), Jim Hughes (Monica), Mike Hughes (Jodi), Raymond Hughes (Lynette), Mary Rose Gillett (Phil), Ruth Spencer (Ed), Rita Whannell (Paul), and Bernie Hughes; grandchildren, Ashley Armstrong (Jeffrey), Hannah Morgan, Lindsey Kemp, Collin Kemp, Aubrey Kemp, Colton Kemp, Kiptyn Kemp, Lola Vance, and Lillian Vance, as well as two great-grandchildren, Austin and Addalyn Armstrong. In addition to her husband, Dennis, she is preceded by siblings, Jerry Hughes and Steve Hughes. Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, March 27, at St. Luke Catholic Church with Fathers Aldrin, Tony, and John officiating. Visitation will be held the evening prior, from 4:00 – 8:00 PM, Tuesday, at Betts & West Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Dean Morgan, Tony Vance, Jeffrey Armstrong, Chad Buffin, Collin Kemp, and Colton Kemp. Honorary bearers will be Kiptyn Kemp, Ashley Armstrong, Hannah Morgan, Lindsey Kemp, Aubrey Kemp, Lola Vance, Lillian Vance, Austin Armstrong, and Addalyn Armstrong. Immediately following the service at St. Luke Catholic Church, the family will host a bereavement luncheon at The Barn at Thoroughbred Golf Club at High Point (1215 High Point Drive, Nicholasville, KY).
