Taylor Mitchell Blair

Taylor Mitchell Blair, 85, husband of Burline Saylor Blair, passed away Friday, December 15, 2023, at Ephraim McDowell Hospital in Danville, Kentucky. He was born in Salyersville, Kentucky on November 9, 1938, to the late Mitchell Blair and Ada Jackson Blair. Taylor was a loving and devoted Husband, Daddy, and Papaw. His sense of humor filled our lives with endless laughter. His knowledge and wisdom were unmatched. His hobbies were being outdoors, gardening, being a huge sports fan, big supporter of UK, and Go Big Blue! In addition to his wife, Burline, he is survived by four daughters, Mary Francis (Don) Pierce, Carolyn Sue (John) Angel, Robbin Michelle (Sean) McDowell, and Jannie Lynn (Michael) Beer, 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, Kenny Wayne Blair and Dave Barry Fletcher, and several siblings. Funeral services will be 12:00 PM, on Thursday, December 21, 2023, at Betts & West Funeral Home with Pastor Joey Harrison officiating burial will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery. Bearers will be Don Pierce, Michael Beer, John Angel, Cody Beer, Levi Beer, and Chad Blair. Visitation will be 5:00 PM -9:00 PM, on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at the funeral home.
