Suedelle Salyer Stone

January 18, 1939 — November 26, 2022

Suedelle Salyer Stone was born January 18, 1939 and went to be with the Lord on November 26, 2022.

Sue was the daughter of the late Kash and Ethel Salyer of Ashland, Kentucky.

Sue meet Cecil Stone when she was 14 years old and that relationship continued even though Cecil was in the Navy for four years. They were married when she graduated High School on June 7th 1957 and were married for 64 years. They were blessed with two sons, Mark and Todd, both devoted Christian boys who love the Lord with all their hearts, Mark is now with the Lord but Todd is still here. In fact the last conversation Mark had with his mother went something like this, “Mom it’s hard for me to understand all these troubles we’ve had to experience, but one thing is for sure GOD IS IN CHARGE AND HE DOESN’T MAKE MISTAKES. God does all things well. I will Praise over and over for HIS GRACE.”

Sue was predeceased by her husband on August 13, 2021, and by her son Mark on January 12, 2022.

She is survived by her son Todd and his wife Sandy; grandchildren, Chad Stone and his wife Lindsey, Tessa Margaret Stone, Jay Lewis Stone, and Bailey Moberly; great-grandchildren, Jayden Moberly, Logan Moberly, Graci Johns, Luke Johns, and her two most recent Emma Rose Stone, and Reid Alan Stone. Also surviving is a beloved brother Gary Salyer and his wife Joyce Salyer, Sue and Gary were so close in age that they were often mistaken as twins; a precious sister in law Juanita Adkins who actually became Sues sister upon marriage to Cecil.

Also surviving are nieces Karen Shaw, Robin Trimble, Dustin Roberson, Aubrey Nare; nephews, Rod Phillips, Gary Clay Salyers, Aaron Abbott; special Friends, Charlene Vest, Cathy Chapman, and Rena Malone; and a lifelong friend who grew up together and married best friends, raised babies together and buried husbands together, Gail Carroll of Ashland, Kentucky.
