Nicholasville-Spencer Green Branson, 74, husband of Natalie Branson, died December 20, 2013 at Hospice Care Center in St. Augustine, FL. Spencer was a 20 year veteran of the U.S. Navy, a member of the Fleet Reserve and also retired after 31 years of service with Lexair. He was the son of the late Lyttle Branson and Bessie Wilson Branson. Additional survivors include a son, Michael Branson-Jacksonville, FL, a daughter, Darlene (Terry) Curry-Nicholasville, a granddaughter Desiree, two great grandchildren, T.J. and Lexi, a sister, Sandy Turner-Corbin, a brother, Tom Bowling-Wimaua, FL and a brother in law, Charles (Carolyn) Feeback. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Edith McIntosh and Bobbi Maxey. Services will be 1:00pm Monday at Betts & West Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-9pm Sunday. Bearers will be Wes Allen, Marty Mills, Mike Hand, Randy Lewis, Greg and Sammy Feeback, Bill Green and Lee Atkins. Honorary bearers will be Barry Pribble.
