Sidney J. Campbell

Sidney J. Campbell, 85, husband of Frances Sharon Padgett Campbell, of Wesley Drive, Wilmore, passed away on Friday, December 17, 2021. He was born in Olive Branch, Illinois, on January 26, 1936, to the late Sidney Joshua and Iva Pearl McKee Campbell. He was a retired Basketball Coach and Athletic Director for multiple schools and was a member of Southern Hills Methodist Church. He is survived by one son, Jerry D. (Mary) Campbell, one daughter, Sharon (Bob) Campbell Moore, one sister, Carol Pressley, and five grandchildren, Zachary Campbell, Christopher Campbell, Micah (Abigail) Moore, Joshua Moore, and Hannah (Nick) Nozell. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Vesta Tompkins, Berniece Sutherland, and Phyllis Barker. Services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at Betts & West Funeral Home with Chaplin Gary Story officiating. Burial will follow in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. Bearers will be Zachary Campbell, Christopher Campbell, Micah Moore, Joshua Moore, and Hannah and Nick Nozell. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
