Sherry Lynn Buckley

Sherry Lynn Buckley was born December 11, 1950, and died March 18, 2023. Sherry is the dedicated wife of 52 years to David Buckley. She is the devoted mother of Melissa Cross (Tim) and Mandy Buckley and the doting nana of two grandsons, Bennett and Weston Cross.

Sherry is the daughter of the late Hugh and Gladys Edmiston. In addition to her husband, Sherry is survived by a brother, Hugh Edmiston, Jr (Mayme). She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Edmiston and Frances Edmiston.

Sherry was more than an in-law to her Buckley family. She was loved as a daughter by Albert and Amanda Buckley. She was treated as a sister by David’s brothers and sister. Summers were spent hosting her nephews at the farm for many years making memories that lasted a lifetime.

She retired as Director of Radiology from St Joseph Healthcare after 30 years of dedicated service and served University of Kentucky Healthcare for 15 additional years of service. She worked hard to build a career and be an example for her daughters and others. Sherry was a member of the Jessamine County Beef Cattle Association as well as the Jessamine County Homemakers.

Sherry spent her life full of laughter and love. She will be deeply missed by those who knew her.

Services will be held at 4:00 PM, Wednesday, March 22, at Betts & West Funeral Home with Tim Cross officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM until the time of service, Wednesday, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to go to the American Heart Institute.
