Ruth Irene Hampton Stamper

Ruth Irene Hampton Stamper, 65, passed Monday, April 2, 2018. She was born July 26, 1952 in London, KY to the late Isaac and Laura Magaline Benge Hampton. She was a member of the Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ. Family survivors are her husband, Jimmy Stamper, a daughter, Tammy Sparks and her friend John E. Wilson, granddaughter, Karla (John K.) Wilson, three sisters, Sue Roe, Daisy Schuler, and Diane Hamm, two brothers, Larry Dean Hampton and Jimmy Dean Hampton, and other family members. Ruth was preceded in death by a son, Brian McDaniel, a sister, Melissa Ann Hoskins, and four brothers, Pearl Hampton, Don Hampton, Randall Hampton, and Michael Wayne Hampton. Service will be 1:00 PM Wednesday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Pastor Buddy Puckett officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Bearers will be Timmy Baker, Ryan Isbell, Brandon Hoskins, Timmy Proffitt, Dylan Hampton, and Brian Austin Proffitt.
