Roy Butcher, Jr., 87, husband of Linda Durham Butcher, passed away Friday, January 27, 2023, at Baptist Health Lexington. He was born in Jessamine County on August 8, 1935, to the late Roy Butcher and Millie Rawlings Butcher. In addition to his wife, Linda, he is survived by his five sons, Roy Wallace (Debbie) Butcher, David Allen Butcher, Larry (Paula) Butcher, Frankie Butcher, and Daryl Wilson, one daughter, Eileen Ishmael, three sisters, Betty (Clint) Barnes, Ruth McKinney, and Pat (Ronnie) Cox, as well as numerous grandchildren. Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, January 31, at Betts & West Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Bales officiating. Bearers will be Bob Blair, Dannie Durham, Nick Boller, Clint Barnes, and Stan Collier. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the time of service, Tuesday, at the funeral home.
