Rosa Mae Carroll Strange

Rosa Mae Carroll Strange, 102, widow of Wilbert 'Red' Strange, passed Tuesday, March 24, 2015. She was born August 21, 1912 in Milner, KY to the late Bolliver C. and Julia Ann Shyrock Carroll. Rosa was a farmer, liked to garden and was a lifelong member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Family survivors are three siblings, Helen Carroll Strange, Boliver Daniel 'Son' Carroll and Marie Carroll Jordan, a sister in law, Betty Carroll, several nieces and nephews and other family members. She was also preceded in death by siblings, Loraine Becknell, Christine Becknell, Carlos Carroll and Hugh Gene Carroll. Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Thursday at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby Becknell and Rev. Basil Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until time of service Thursday. Bearers will be Darian Garrett, Mitch Garrett, B.J. Hall, Tim White, Mike Carroll and Ronnie Carroll. Honorary bearers will be Jordan Hall, Bricen Camps, Wayne Becknell, Harry Mitchell, Dwight Blakeman, Justin Garrett and Sam Clark. Contributions suggested to Hospice of the Blue Grass.
