Ronald Dale Scott, 66, husband of Catherine Elizabeth Novack Scott, of Hideaway Cove, Lancaster, passed away unexpectantly, Thursday, February 10, 2022, at his home. Ronald was born in Lexington, Kentucky, on September 24, 1955, to the late Henry and Betty Hager Scott. He was employed by Commonwealth Technology, was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, and a member of the Buena Vista Baptist Church. He is survived by two sons, Nicholas E. (Jess) Scott and Roy Connor (Adriana) Scott, one daughter, Naomi Starr (Chris) Newby, two sisters, Linda (Bob) East, and Joetta (Mike) Weiss, ten grandchildren, Ethan D. True, Sophia K. True, Millie F. True, Logan A. Scott, Jason R. Scott, Cassius H. Scott, Dahlia L. Scott, Haley Fields, Mason Fields, and Madison Newby. He was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Henry Scott, and a daughter, Melissa Kathryn Scott. Services will be 12:00 PM Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at Buena Vista Baptist Church in Lancaster, Kentucky, with Pastor Brad King officiating. Burial will follow in Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Bearers will be Connor Scott, Nick Scott, Scott East, Tyler East, Kevin Weiss, Philip Novack, Randy Clemmons, and Chris Newby. Honorary Bearers will be Robert East, Wallace Stinnett, Mike Weiss, Jed Ransdell, and TC Cravens. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM at Betts & West Funeral Home in Nicholasville, Kentucky. Betts & West is honored to serve the Scott family in their time of need.
