Ronald Dale Hammond

Ronald “Ronnie” Dale Hammond, 71, husband of Peggy Ann Scott Hammond, passed Sunday, March 18, 2018. He was born July 28, 1946 in Lexington, KY to the late Beverly “Buddy” Allen and Frances Kathleen Sallee Hammond. Ronnie had worked for the City of Nicholasville, attended Grace Community Church of the Nazarene, liked to hunt, fish, shoot, and ride motorcycles. Survived also by four children, John (Shelley) Spencer Hammond, Marla (Gary) Ann Mayle, Ronald (Celia) Dale Hammond Jr., and Joseph (Melissa) Paul Hammond, seven grandchildren, Brittany Rachelle Hammond, Austin Lee Hammond, Blake Chandler Hammond, Emerson Dale Hammond, Jaxon Tate Hammond, Carter Paul Hammond, and Josie Mae Hammond, six siblings, Bobby Hammond, Mike (Pat) Hammond, Marilyn Bruner, Debbie (Eddie) Ward, Danny (Glenda) Hammond, and Jimmy (Deb) Hammond, and other family members. Also preceded in death by a sister, Linda Hammond. Service will be 12:00 noon Thursday at Grace Community Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Doug Hopkins officiating. Burial will follow in Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at Betts & West Funeral Home.
