Roger Lee Cook

Roger Lee Cook, 76, husband of Mary Elizabeth Clark Cook, died Sunday, February 11, 2018. Roger was born on May 9, 1941 in Honaker, Virginia to the late Arthur Bascom and Laura Pearl Lambert Cook. He was retired Air Force, member of Anchor Baptist Church. Roger loved to garden, had backpacked the Appalachian Trail, taught Sunday School, delivered mail in Las Vegas for 13 years, and was a custodian for Eisenhower Elementary School for seven years . Family survivors are two children, Roger Lee, Jr (Shelby) Cook and Brenda Dakake, six grandchildren, four great grandchildren, two brothers, Estel (Annie) Cook and Harold (Retha) Cook, and other family members. Roger was also preceded in death by a daughter, Lori Kasper. Service will be 10:30 AM Friday at Anchor Baptist Church with Dr. Carl Peters officiating. Burial will follow in Camp Nelson National Cemetery at 12:30 PM. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM until time of service Friday.
