Robert Stanley Shelton

Robert Stanley Shelton, 85, widower of Virginia “Cricket” Humphrey Shelton, passed away Sunday, February 7, 2021 at his home. He was born in Woodford County on March 17, 1935 to the late Stanley and Stattie Disponette Shelton. He is survived by daughters Patricia Ann “Pat” Hammond, (Mike), and Donna Jean Barnett, son in law, John Caldwell, 7 grandchildren Angie Davis, Misty Chapman, Mike Hammond, Tara Wyman, (Tommy), Chad Hammond, (Tammy), Heath Shelton, (Christina), and Justin Cheek,16 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren, special nieces, Charlotte Barron, and Pam Salley, as well as close friend, Darlene “Bosey” Lujan. He was preceded in death by daughters Carol Sue Caldwell, Robin Shelton, and Sherry Lynn Mitchell and four sisters. Funeral services will be 11:00AM, Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Betts & West Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Bales officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 from 4-8:00PM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery.
