Wilmore-Robert Kenneth Houp, 77, husband of Louella Henry Houp, of East Main Street, died at his home May 8, 2011. He was an employee of the University of Kentucky for thirty three years and a veteran of the US Army. He spent his retirement with his family and woodworking in his shop making crafts. He was the son of the late Robert Stanley Houp and Lottie Lamb Houp. Additional survivors include three children and their spouses, Sue Ann (Murle) Crowe, Robert Kenneth (Vanda) Houp Jr. and Sharon Lee (Kenny) Wesley, a step son, Charles William Montgomery, seven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren, brothers Charles, J.D., Jimmy, and Bradley Houp, sisters, Nancy True and Connie Harris. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Jean Duggins, Mary Barron and Faye Powell. Services will be 11:00am Wednesday at
Betts & West Funeral Home with his special friend Rev. Dwight Winter officiating. Burial will be in the Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-9pm tonight. Bearers will be Shane Raines, Ernie and Mike Wesley, Adam and Kent Houp, Murle Crowe, David Culver and Joe Guffey.
