Robert (Bob) Elmer Bellman

Robert (Bob) Elmer Bellman, 89, of Dublin, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 23, 2017.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Joanne Ruth Comer Bellman; parents, Margaret Anna Bellman and George Donald Bellman; infant daughter Margaret Jo Bellman; infant great-granddaughter Riley Albin; and Sister Irene Kramer.

He is survived by his children Bob Bellman and wife Jackie of Nicholasville, KY, Jeff Bellman of Panama City Beach, FL, George Bellman and wife Donna of Mustang, OK, Chris Bellman and wife Debbie of Versailles, KY, Bill Bellman and wife Carol of Bedford, TX, Ruthie Bellman of Dublin, VA, Starla Kirkland and husband Al of Dothan AL; 11 grand-children; 30 great grand-children; eight great-great grand-children; and sister Kay Braught of Norman, OK.

Bob was a devoted and loving husband, father, grand-father, lover of all people and servant of the Lord. He served the Lord for 65 years in the capacities of Youth Pastor, Lay-minister, Pastor and Pastoral Care pastor throughout Illinois, Kentucky, Florida and Virginia. His Lay ministry took him all over the US, to Curacao and Aruba. He traveled several times to Haiti and to Jamaica on mission trips sharing the love of Christ with all who would hear.

A time for fellowship with the Bellman family will take place Saturday, April 29 from 10:00 a.m. to noon at Good Shepherd Baptist Church, 155 Dunlap Drive, NE, Christiansburg, Virginia. A celebration of life service will take place at noon immediately following the fellowship time. A graveside service will be conducted at Wilmore Cemetery, Saturday, May 27 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be Friday, May 26 from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at Betts & West Funeral Home.
