Rayetta Bray, 75, widow of Owen Bray, passed away in Lexington on Wednesday, January 5, 2022. She was born in Nicholasville on October 15, 1946, to the late Thomas and Minerva Land Owens. She is survived by one son, Alfred Baker (Diane), four daughters, Carolyn Bray, Frances Skinner (Dewey), Ramona Foster, and Ella Caldwell (Scott), as well as one brother, Ted Owens, eighteen grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by one son, Owen Bell, one daughter, Clara Midkiff, three siblings, Joe Owens, John Owens, and Pearl Collins. Services will be 1:00 PM, Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at Betts & West Funeral Home, with Andy Midkiff officiating. Casket bearers will be Bill Gast, William Gast, Randall Gast, Mark Caldwell, Alex Mogan, and Jordan Caldwell, Dean Owens, and Christopher Foster. Burial will follow in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4-8 PM on Monday at the funeral home. Betts & West is honored to serve the Bray family in their time of need.
