Ray Lowry

Ray Lowry, 85, widower of Wavyleen Walker Lowry, died Sunday, March 1, 2015. He was born May 18, 1929 in Jessamine County, KY to the late Jim Lowry and Mary Frances Fathergill Wafford. He loved to fish and tinker with small engines, anything mechanical or dealing with carpentry. Survivors are a daughter, Carolyn (James) Taylor, two grandchildren, Sheary (Ronnie) Parker and Angie (Randy) Preston, four great grandchildren, Misty (Brian) Cobb, Lucas Parker, Brett and Ethan Preston, two great great grandchildren, Gracie Bowen and Evan Cobb, two sisters, Christine Hayes, Hazel Callico and other family members. Service will be 3:00 PM Wednesday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Bearers will be Lucas Parker, Brett Preston, Ethan Preston, Ronnie Parker, Randy Preston and Brian Cobb.
