Phyllis Edwards

Phyllis Edwards, 79, of Wilmore, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2023. She was at home, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on July 15, 1944, in McKee, Kentucky. Phyllis is survived by her soulmate, Harry Cecil Lewis, as well as her siblings Virginia Harris, Randy (Ruth) Lynch, Donnie (Betsy) Collins and Eugene (Brenda) Lynch. She is also survived by her daughters Jacqueline (Roger) Saylor and Tammy Underwood, six grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her brothers Eddie Collins and Mike Lynch.

Phyllis embodied the phrase “to know her, was to love her.” She never met a stranger and would give the shirt off her back to anyone in need. She had the most selfless, caring, and loving soul known to man.

In honor of Phyllis' life, a funeral service will be held at Betts & West Funeral Home located in Nicholasville, Kentucky. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 23rd from 4 to 8 p.m. and the funeral service will follow on Tuesday the 24th at 10 a.m.

Interment will follow at Bluegrass Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Donnie Collins, Randy Lynch, Roger Saylor, Ronnie Saylor, John Stevenson, and Jakey Stevenson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Eugene Lynch, Cheyenne Brock, Savannah Brock, and Olivia Saylor.
