Obituary for Philip Edward Peterson

Philip Edward Peterson heard the words, “Well done, My good and faithful servant, in whom I am well pleased,” when he entered Heaven’s Gates on Wednesday, January 9, 2019, at the age of 92 years old.

He then attended Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, Illinois, where he met his wife, Carol Joan Gabler. They were married September 19, 1952.

Phil and Carol served in many locations over the years including: Kentucky, Iowa, Nebraska, Hawaii, Canada and Alaska. Their last home and church was at Lighthouse Baptist Church in Nicholasville, Kentucky. They started and ended their lives together in Kentucky.

Throughout his entire life, Phil had an unwavering faith in God, which he shared with those around him, as well as his latest jokes. He preached, taught Sunday School, and lead Bible Studies. He wanted every life he touched to know the love of his Heavenly Father.

Phil joins his wife, Carol Joan (Gabler) Peterson; brothers Kenneth & Reginald Peterson; brothers-in-law, Russell & Joseph Gabler, and James Borchardt, in Heaven.
