Pauline Carson Burton, 79, widow of Roland R. Burton, passed Monday, October 31, 2016 after a long illness. She was born December 21, 1936 in Highbridge, KY to the late William Joseph and Adeline Sallee Carson. Pauline was a loving mother, wife and grandmother. She attended Edgewood Baptist Church and was co-owner of Edgewood Florist for twenty one years. Family survivors are two children, Linda Blakeman and Gregory (Genevieve) Burton, four grandchildren, Michelle (Mark) Goddard, Melissa Blakeman, Christopher Burton and Lance Burton, three great grandchildren, Siren Burton, Emily Goddard and Matthew Goddard, seven siblings, Norma Jean Smith, John D. Carson, Gerald Carson, Paul Carson, Bobby Carson, Carl Carson and Clyde Carson and other family members. Pauline was also preceded in death by a brother, Billy Carson and a son-in-law, John Blakeman. Service will be 11:00 AM Friday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Sholar officiating. Burial will follow immediately in the Camp Nelson National Cemetery.Visitation will be Thursday, November 3, 2016, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Bearers will be Lance Burton, Jeremy Carson, Tommy Burton, David Carson, B.J. Carson and Joe Carson. Honorary Bearers will be Jerry Garrett, Bobby Garrett, Brenda Jasper, Glodean Hager, Kelley Burczyk, Patsy Short and Lynn Thomas and Virgil 'Poochie' Burton.
