Ordra Allene Wilson Upton

Ordra Allene Wilson Upton, 90, Frankfort Ford Road , Wilmore passed away April 12, 2016 in her home surrounded by her family. Allene was the widow of the late Cecil Upton. She was born in Casey County, the daughter of the late Wilford and Vertie Wilson. She was a member of Mt. Freedom Baptist Church and a lifetime farmer and homemaker. She especially enjoyed her garden and canning vegetables. She was beloved mother to four children; Betty Kestel, Patty (Marvin) Taylor, Cecil Jr. (Charlotte) Upton and Major McKinley Upton (Carol). Loved grandchildren; Keith (Nancy) Kestel, Nikki Kestel (Tommy), Sherry (Jim) Hendrix, Tracie Taylor, Jessica (Joe) Dodgen, Cecil Upton III, Major (Missy) Upton III and Jennifer Upton (Ben). She was also blessed with twelve great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She leaves behind very dear friends Dorothy and Charles Bowman, caregivers Shelia Johnson and Linda Mulcahy and many, many nieces, nephews and other family members. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Marty Taylor and a son in law, Charles Kestel. Funeral service will be held at 11AM Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Betts & West Funeral Home with Pastor Nathan Elliott officiating. Burial will follow in the Wilmore Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3-8 PM Friday at the funeral home. Casket bearers will be Chas Kestel, Kevin Kestel, Austin Alexander, Cecil Upton III, Joe Dodgen and Major Upton III. Honorary bearers will be Keith Kestel, Greg McKinney, Gary Hager, Kenny Horton, Mike Kestel, James Johns, Jeff Carroll and Tommy Wells. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Mt.
