Nellie Rose Brim Preston

Nellie Rose Brim Preston, 80, died Saturday, June 5, 2010 after a long illness. Nellie was born April 27, 1930 in Garrard County to the late Harrison and Bessie Winkle Brim. She was a homemaker and member of the Revival Tabernacle. Survivors are three daughters, Joyce (David) Jarvis of Cynthiana, Loretta (Lester) Sensabaugh of Georgetown, Judy Murphy and her late husband, Johnny C. Murphy of Nicholasville, two sons, Jack (Judy) Preston of Lancaster, Jerry (Jamesetta) Preston of Lancaster, her companion of thirty two years, Donald Lawrence and his son Ronnie (Debbie) Lawrence, both of Nicholasville, ten grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, two sisters, Shirley Dunaway of Louisville, Betty Lou Graham of Lancaster, one brother, Harrison Brim Jr. of Claysville, and other family members. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Rose Preston, a great grandchild, Joshua Keith Preston, sisters, Helen and Gretta Brim and Missy York, brothers, Johnnie -Boug-, John -J.C.- and Hansel Brim and Daniel Deering. Services will be 1:00 pm Monday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Bro. Kaywood Morris officiating. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery. Visitation will be today (Sunday) from 4:00 until 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Bearers will be Jack Preston Jr., Jimmy Preston, Lester Sensabaugh Jr., John Murphy Jr., Anthony Murphy and Jeremy Preston.
