Mildred Brown Denny Routt

Mildred Brown Denny Routt, 98, widow of Wilson Morgan Routt Sr., passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2014. She was born November 6, 1916 in Lexington to the late Robert James and Anne Brown Mason Denny. Mildred was a lifelong member of Nicholasville Presbyterian Church. She was a member of the Clio Club, a Cub Scout den mother, a substitute teacher in Jessamine County many years. She was also an accomplished artist and loved animals and children. Mildred attended Hollins College and graduated from the University of Kentucky. Survivors include two children Wilson M. (Susan) Routt Jr. and Robert Denny 'Bob' (Stephanie) Routt, three grandchildren Kristin Routt Pendergrass, Nathan (Danielle) Routt and Mason (Kenna) Routt, six great grandchildren Thomas, Samuel, Maria, Aaron, Benjamin, and Sophie Routt. She was also preceded in death by one grandson Thomas Monroe Routt and two sisters Sarah Denny Kinniard and Betty Jefferson Denny. Memorial service will be 3:00 pm Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at Betts & West Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Pearson officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm Tuesday until time of service.
