Mary Christina "Tina" Southerland

Mary Christina “Tina” Southerland, age 71, wife of Arthur Sid Southerland, Nicholasville, passed away Friday, November 19, 2021, at the UK Medical Center. She was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on March 12, 1950, to the late Eathel and Bertha Elizabeth Nichols Clark. She was retired from Verizon where she was employed as a phone operator. She was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church, and her faith always gave her great comfort. She is also survived by two daughters, Amy Lyn (Tim) McNutt, and Kristie (Jeff) Weber, one brother, James Clark, six sisters, Bertie Hayter, Marie Baldschun, Betty Lambert, Vi Hargis, Reba Fields, and Ruth Clark, five grandchildren, Elise Bridges, Alison Propps, Jonathan Chase, Kristen Weber, and Mary McNutt, three bonus grandchildren, Stan, Jack, and Sean McNutt. She was preceded in death by one brother, Lavon Clark and one granddaughter, Tori Chase. Services will be 1:00 PM, Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at the Lighthouse Baptist Church with Pastor Tommy Morrow officiating. Burial will follow in Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Bearers will be Jeff Weber, Tim McNutt, Michael Southerland, Steven Southerland, Jonathon Chase, and James Clark. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10:00 AM until service time. Betts & West Funeral Home is honored to serve the Southerland family. Memorial contributions are suggested in Tina’s name to Lighthouse Baptist Missions.
