Mary Alice Blanton Mulligan

Mary Alice Blanton Mulligan, 71, wife of Elsber Boone Mulligan, passed away on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at her home. She was born in Harlan County, Kentucky on August 2, 1946 to the late Byrd Blanton and Lucinda Blanton. Mary worked at Baptist Health Hospital in the Dietary Department for 12 years, was a passionate gardener and loved to spend time with her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, nanny and sister. Survivors include two daughters, Misty Lynn Mulligan McMurray and her husband Stan of Nicholasville and Kerria Mulligan and her boyfriend, Logan Hamlin, two grandchildren, Allyson Morrow and Michael Mulligan, two great-grandchildren, Keeley Baker and Kade Hamlin, sisters, Sherry (Stanley) Smith, Gean (Bill) Gibson, Gail (Barry) Schroder, Debbie (Ray) Holets, Brenda Rouse, Berdina Hensley and brother, Jack Blanton and numerous other family members. She was preceded in death by a sister, Lena Hensley and a brother, Harry Blanton. Graveside Services will be 2:30 PM, Friday, April 20, 2018 at Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Stan McMurray, Michael Mulligan, Jack Blanton, Logan Hamlin, Nate Cunningham , Jordan Mattingly and Jay Sibley. Interment will be at Camp Nelson National Cemetery.
