Martha Ellen Merriman Greer

Martha Ellen Merriman Greer, 84, widow of Amos E. Greer, died January 8, 2011. She was born March 14, 1926 in Mercer County to the late George Robert Merriman and Flossie Marie Rowe Underwood. Martha was a homemaker and member of Mt. Freedom Baptist Church. Survivors are seven children, James Earl 'Jimmy' (Ingrid) Greer, Wilma (Roger) Noe, Sharon (Bill) Brown, Peggy (Danny) Callico, Gary (Rhonda) Greer, all of Nicholasville, Lois (Steve) Riley and Connie Greer, of Wilmore, nine grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, three sisters, Patricia (Wayne) Cheek, Doris Adams, Bertha Merriman, all of Wilmore, two brothers, Greenberry Merriman of Wilmore and Charles Merriman of Georgetowm. Services will be 1:00 pm Wednesday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Rev. David Duggan officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 until 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Bearers will be James Earl, Gary and Kevin Greer, Jeffrey Brown, Mike Antrobus and Ricky Poor.
