Marie Boner Blankenship, 82, widow of Jesse Blankenship, passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2007. Born November 14, 1924 in Jessamine County, she was the daughter of the late Alfred James Boner and Ola Watts Nave. She is survived by two daughters Joyce Duke-Louisville and Jessica (Michael) True-Shelbyville, one son, Jack (Barbara Sue) Blankenship-Nicholasville, ten grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and a special friend and relative Edna Dale Stotts. She was preceded in death by one sister, Faye Harvey, one brother, Glenn Nave and a brother-in-law, Woodrow Harvey. Services will be 1:30 PM Friday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Rev. DeWayne Brewer officiating. Burial will follow in Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Bearers will be Jimmy Jenkins, Bobby Jenkins, Damon True, Jeffrey Blankenship, Bobby Jenkins Jr. and Josh Jenkins. Honorary bearer will be David Blankenship. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-8 PM at the funeral home.
