Margie Underwood

Nicholasville-Margie Underwood, 79, widow of John Calvin Underwood, of Jessamine Avenue, died May 20, 2011 after a lengthy illness. She was a member of Faith United Community Church and a retired employee of Drug Mart. She was the daughter of the late George and Geneva Hume Welch. Survivors include a son Jeff (Melissa) Underwood, a daughter Vickie (Ernest) Cross-Coffman, grandchildren, Larry and Tim Cross, Michelle Sears, David Underwood, Christel Davis, Whitney, Avery and Emily Underwood, eleven great grandchildren, brothers, Romeo, Billy, Gene, Paul and Johnny Welch, sisters, Brenda Hay and Barbara Morton. She was preceded in death by two sons, John David Underwood and Jerry Wayne Underwood. Services will be 1:30pm Tuesday at Betts & West Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery.
