Margaret "Peggy" Murphy

Nicholasville-Margaret 'Peggy' Murphy, 88, widow of Fred B. Murphy, died peacefully October 4, 2013 surrounded by her family. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Mary Letha Wells Powell. She was a registered nurse, a member of the Nicholasville Presbyterian Church, loved shopping and decorating and her family foremost. She is survived by three daughters, Julie (Donald) Bell, Margaret (Bob) Walling and Frankie (Ron) Ferguson, four grandchildren, Sally Ann Davis, Melissa (Bobby) Kerns, Mary McBeath (Doug) Moore and Drew Dersom, great grandchildren, Lee and Abigail Davis, Emily and Chase Kerns and Margaret Elise Moore, a sister Mary Powell (David) Roberts, numerous other family members. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert Michael Powell II, Frank Wells Powell and Josh Powell. Services will be 12:30pm Tuesday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Harrison officiating. She will be laid to rest with her husband in the Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8pm Monday.
