Wilmore-Marcie Mae Shanklin, 63, died Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at her home. She was born April 26, 1951 to Jesse Floyd and Pearl Reynolds Shanklin in Jessamine County. She was retired from the U.S. Army as a Staff Sargeant and was a member of Bethel Christian Church. Survivors include her two sisters, Connie (Danny) Hogue, Joann Humphrey, and a brother, John (Judy) Halderman, nieces and nephews, Karen Reed, Sharon Hall, Rick, Robert, Donald, James, Tonya, Richard, Robert, and Tracy Halderman, Diana Ruess, James, Barry and Bobby Humphery, Debbie Johnson, Gina Gray, Sandy Anderson and Angie Teague. She was preceded in death by a sister, Lucy Nichols, two brothers, Richard and Thomas Halderman, a niece, Brenda Humphery, and a nephew, Dale Nichols. Services will be 1:30Pm, Friday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Bales officiating. Interment will be in Wilmore Cemetery. Bearers will be Rick and James Halderman, James Humphrey, Jerry Massingill, David Reynolds, Richard Halderman, John Reed and Jason Hall. Honorary bearers will be Matt Nichols, Donald Reynolds, William and Danny Hogue and Barry and Bobby Humphrey. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 PM - 8:00PM at the funeral home.
