Mae Katherine Atkerson Sykes, 66, passed away November 16, 2014. She was born May 8, 1948 in Lexington to the late Edward and Mary Elizabeth Baker Atkerson. Mae is survived by seven children Charlie (Ellen) Bowlin, Oscar (Angie) Bowlin, Danny Bowlin, Alisa Ritchey, Kenneth (CeCe) Abney, Kathy Abney and Laura Sykes, numerous grandchildren, one sister Marilyn B.F. Atkerson, three brothers John, Gene Allan, and Glen Ray Atkerson. Besides her parents Mae was preceded in death by two brothers. Graveside service for Mae Sykes will conducted at 2:00 PM Friday December 5, 2014 at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Nicholasville with T.W. Wilson officiating.
