Mac Arthur Blanton

Mac Arthur Blanton, age 78, widower of Cynthia Genora Martin Blanton of Foxwood Drive, Nicholasville, passed away at home surrounded by his family, on Wednesday, January 17, 2024. He was born in Madison County, Kentucky, on July 13, 1945, to the late Lewis Abs Blanton and the late Florence Woolery Blanton. Mac was a farmer and sanitation worker. He is survived by two sons, Glenden (Ada) Blanton and Roy (Carrie) Blanton, and a daughter, Cynthia Marie (Gray) Brewer; daughter-in-law, Phyllis Scalf; special niece, Kay Blanton; 13 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by a son, Tim Scalf, and a daughter, Penny Ingles, and eight siblings. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM, Monday, January 22, 2024, at Betts & West Funeral Home with Jared Henry officiating. A burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Bearers will be Aiden Blanton, Gray Brewer, Marcus Brewer, Gulian Blanton, Glenden Blanton, and Danny Small. Visitation will be on Monday from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM at the funeral home.
