Lucy Halderman Nichols

Lucy Halderman Nichols, 73, widow of Delphord Nichols Sr., died Sunday, August 12, 2012 after a short ilness. She was born December 18, 1938 in Jessamine County to the the late Thomas Robert and Pearl Reynolds Halderman. Survivors include three daughters, Gina (Steven) Gray, Sandra (Jeff) Anderson and Angela (James) Teague, five grandchildren, Amy (Glen) White, Kellye Gray, Matthew Nichols, Lakin Mulcahy and Kendell Anderson, three step-grandchildren, Dylan, Logan and Hagan Teague, a great granddaughter, Kailynn Johnson and a step great granddaughter, Sophia Teague, three sisters, Joan Humphrey, Connie (Danny) Hogue and Marcie Shanklin, a brother, John (Judy) Halderman. She was preceded in death by a son, Delphord Nichols Jr. and a grandson, Andrew Nichols. Services will be 10:30am Wednesday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Bro. Leonard Fitch officiating. Burial will follow in the Wilmore Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8pm today. Bearers will be James, Barry and Bob Humphrey, James Halderman, Danny and William Hogue.
