Lewis Henry Bailey

Lewis Henry Bailey, 79, husband of Aileene Purcell Roberts Bailey, died Wednesday, October 3, 2012. He was born October 28, 1932 in Scott County to the late Freeman Lee and Bessie Ann Bailey. He was a retired boiler room technician. Lewis was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church. Additional survivors are two step children, Shelton (Isabelle) Roberts and Ella Brunker, a brother, Gene Bailey and other family members. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Lucy Jane Bailey and five brothers, Dean Bailey, J.W. Bailey ,Vernie Bailey, Frank Bailey and Orville Bailey. Services will be 1:00 pm Saturday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Sholar officiating. Burial will be 3:30 pm Saturday at Jacksonville Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 until 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Bearers will be Willy Hayes, Robert Bailey, Ernest Gene Bailey, Frank Bailey Jr., Rob Butler and Wayne Roberts Jr. Honorary Bearers will be George Wireman, Gary Wireman, Doug Roberts and Craig Roberts.
