Lawrence Rae Brock

Lawrence Rae Brock, 64, husband of 42 years to Marsha Evans Brock, passed away peacefully into the arms of the Angels on August 11, 2011 at Central Baptist Hospital. Lawrence was a retired builder and in his lifetime has designed and built many homes and buildings, these structures are wonderful remembrances for this skillful and talented man. He was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corp: Simper Fi, and a member of Man O War Post 8 of the American Legion. He loved and enjoyed life and lived his life in that manner, his family and host of friends can attest to his love of life. He would say; 'Love life and live it to the fullest extent, get a job, go forth and prosper. He was born in Lexington on August 6, 1946, son of the late Ed and Noma Brock. Additional survivors include his daughter, Loriann Evans Brock, sisters, Ann (Jim) Whitt, Rose (Karl) Waters, Susan Brock and brothers, Jimmy, Mark (Corina) and Kenny Brock, mother in law, Barbara Shewmaker Evans, a host of nieces, nephews, special neighbors and best friends. He was preceded in death by his beloved father in law, Van Evans. A Celeberation of Life Service will be 1:30 pm Friday, August 19, 2011 at Camp Nelson National Cemetery.
