Lara Lucille Ward

Lara Lucille Varner Ward, 97, widow of Golden Ward, died Friday, January 3, 2013 at the Hospice Care Center in Lexington, Kentucky. She was born September 27, 1916 in Black Oak, AR the daughter of the late H.T. and Clara Varner. Survivors include four children, Doylene Ward, Robert (Ruth) Ward, Donald (Patricia) Ward and Joan (Alfred) Taylor, five grandchildren, James Ward, Jennifer Nabors, Amy Grunow, John Ward and Laura Coleman and nine great-grandchildren, a sister, Beatrice Fletcher a brother, Henry T. Varner, Jr., numerous nieces, and nephews. Funeral services will be 1:30 Monday at Betts & West Funeral Home. Burial will be in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4-6pm Sunday.
