Katherine Margaret Parks Underwood, 84, Edgewood Drive, widow of Bascom Underwood, died Monday, August 20, 2007 at the Hospice Care Center in Lexington. She was born in Boyle County on February 23, 1923 the daughter of the late Isaacc Morgan Parks and Callie Mulcahy Parks. She was a homemaker and a member of the Nicholasville First Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include two sons, Bill Underwood of Nicholasville and his former wife, Judy Underwood of Lexington; Eugene (Diane) Underwood of Nicholasville; two brothers, Willis Parks and Bobby Parks both of Nicholasville; nine grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter and other family members. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Thursday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Pastor Christa Klosterman and Pastor David Rosco officiating. Burial will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery. Bearers will be Chris, Ricky and Lester Underwood, Travis Peel, Burch Hager and Jimmy Jasper. Visitation will be Tuesday and Wednesday from 5:00 PM- 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
