Karen Sue Williams

October 27, 1950 — February 17, 2024

Karen Sue Adkins Williams, 73, of Nicholasville, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2024, after an extended illness. She was a retired Nurse and former employee of Jessamine Medical. She was preceded in death by her Beloved husband of 44 years, Charles Kenneth “Kenny” Williams, her parents, Burley and Edith Adkins, and her brother, Wayne. Survivors include her lifelong special friends, Benny and Debbie Pivonka, their son and her Godson, Christopher Pivonka; his wife Rachel and their two sons, Noah, and Elijah Pivonka; a special friend, Gina (John) Branscum, and her cousins, caregivers, and friends. Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, February 22, 2024, at Betts & West Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Lawson and Rev. Benny Pivonka, Jr. officiating. Karen will be buried in Maple Grove Cemetery. Bearers will be Darell Black, Chris Pivonka, Mike Hammond, Gary Lawson, Tim McHone, and Lewis Cannady. Honorary bearers will be Randy Grow, Gordon Hensley, and John Branscum.  Visitation will be held from 5-8:00 PM on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at the funeral home.
