Judy Gay Drakeford

Judy Gay Collins Drakeford, 74, widow of Robert Vance Drakeford, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at her home in Nicholasville. She was born in Fayette County on October 18, 1947, to the late John Thomas “J.T.” Collins and Helen Lucille Chapman Collins. She is survived by a son, Michael Thomas Johns (Patty), daughter, Sherry Lynn Bullock (David), seven grandchildren, Shire Johns Craig (Jessey), Mikeh Johns Miller (Landon), Maxx Johns (Logan), Olivia Bullock, Elizabeth Bullock Megan Gootee (Steven), and Samantha Johnson, five great-grandchildren, Collins Craig, Colton Craig, Logan Miller, Lexton Miller, and Harper Gootee, as well as special friends, Ann Hager and Wanda Elliott, and two dear pets, Drake and Ford. Services will be at 11:00 AM, Monday, March 28, at Betts & West Funeral Home, with Bro. Bill Bales officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Danny Chapman, Richard Collins, Barry Collins, Barry Jordan, Steve Dean, Gary Dean, Don Wayne, and Allen Collins. Honorary bearers will be Mike Chapman, Ann Hager, Pansy Hurt, and John, Woody, Jerry, and Wendell Drakeford. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 7:00 PM, Sunday, at the funeral home.
